These Terms of Use explain the rules for using Chessmate Live. By using the app, you agree to use it responsibly and in line with these terms.

Use Respectfully

Use Chessmate Live for friendly games only. Do not harass, threaten, impersonate, or share harmful, illegal, or explicit content during video matches.

Accounts And Private Rooms

Guest mode is available for practice and local app use. Private friend rooms require sign-in so each room has a clear account identity. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Public Beta

Chessmate Live is an early public version. Features may change, rooms may fail to connect, and the casual bot is limited in strength. Use accordingly.

Age And Permission

If a player is under the legal age of majority in their location, they should use the app only with a parent or guardian's knowledge and permission.

No Sensitive Sharing

Do not share passwords, payment details, identity documents, or private personal information over a video match call. Chessmate Live provides no security guarantee for messages exchanged over WebRTC.

Availability

The app is provided as-is, without warranty of uptime or reliability. Live video depends on browser support, internet quality, device permissions, and network settings. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chessmate Live and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including connection failures, data loss, or third-party service outages.

Privacy

Your use of Chessmate Live is also covered by the Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Libya. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting support@chessmate.ly.

Updates

These terms may be updated as the app grows. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
